LifeStream patient attacked elderly doctor when told she cannot leave or transfer

A Coleman woman was arrested for battery after allegedly attacking an elderly doctor who refused to let her leave LifeStream.

An officer responded to LifeStream Behavioral Center, located at 2020 Tally Rd., for a battery involving 25-year-old Emily Rose Carlson at 8 a.m. Monday, March 16, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

A medical doctor advised that he was evaluating Carlson’s mental health when she became aggravated with him. She wanted to leave that day, but he stated she was not going to be discharged. She then asked to be transferred to another unit and was again told no, the report said.

Carlson responded by saying she would beat up everyone in the unit if she did not move. When her evaluation was finished, the doctor’s assistant began to escort her out of his office. She proceeded to hit and scratch the doctor several times, knocking him to the floor, the report said…
