A trio of Leesburg sisters was arrested when two of them got combative with officers for charging the third with driving with a suspended license.
Officers responded to assist with a traffic stop involving 21-year-old Dena Tasha Hyppolite, 24-year-old Chelsea Shakenna Hyppolite and 18-year-old Joely Joseph around 12:55 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Hwy. 27/441, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.
The traffic stop began when an officer spotted Dena driving a black Dodge passenger car with a tag light out. He pulled her over at U.S. Hwy. 27 and Cooke Drive, after which he noticed the vehicle’s registration had expired in Aug. 2025. Dena also advised that she did not have a driver’s license because it was suspended, the report said.
A check of her driving history confirmed this to be true. It showed she had three prior suspensions and was a habitual traffic offender, as well, the report said…
