Man guilty of filing fake $18 billion lien against Marion County officials

A South Florida man, whose five-year-long legal case generated over 800 court filings, has been found guilty of multiple fraud charges stemming from a fake, $18 billion lien that he filed against high-ranking Marion County officials.

Manes Pierre, 58, was convicted on March 12 of making a false statement to the Florida Department of State (FDS) and fraudulently simulating the legal process.
