Huddle House in Ocala remains closed after second failed health inspection

A restaurant in northwest Ocala remained closed on Wednesday after failing a second consecutive health inspection for roach issues.

The Huddle House, located at 331 NW 20th Street, was originally shut down on Tuesday, March 24, when a state inspector found 18 violations, including approximately 17 live roaches and 20 live flies.

During a follow-up inspection on Wednesday, March 25, an official from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation noted that while the live roach activity had been resolved, additional dead roaches were found on the floor and behind a reach-in freezer in the prep area, as well as under a make table and in the dry storage room…
