A suspect has been arrested after allegedly attacking an older woman on the Historic Side of The Villages.
Cynthia Lynn Jones, 46, of Lady Lake, is facing a felony charge of battery on a person over the age of 65 following her arrest by the Lady Lake Police Department.
The woman who had been attacked told police that a man living on Megan Circle in the Village of Silver Lake invited her over. The woman said she previously had property, including flashlights, makeup and money, stolen from her home. The woman said the man living on Megan Circle indicated that Jones brought the stolen property to his home and the woman might want to come over and retrieve it.
The woman arrived at the home and confronted Jones. The woman told Jones that if her property was returned, she would not contact law enforcement. Jones responded by pushing the woman into a door, causing her to fall…
