It’s starts off with a something that sounds like a good idea, like changing the hours at the squares. Makes sense for the heat and thunderstorms, but I guess it’s not too hot to open the bar huts in the squares.
I was at the Blonde Ambition light show a couple of weeks ago. Great show, as always, but one thing that showed the true colors of The Villages, that color is green for money. During that show it started lightning, so they had the band get off the stage because of the weather and they made an an announcement that they had to stop playing with the threat of lightning in the area. Besides that announcement, they made sure to tell everyone that the bar huts were still open for sales of adult beverages. It was a pretty good lightning storm, but it seemed like all they cared about was making their money from the alcohol sales. Never mentioned that people should take cover to be careful during this storm.
The Villages does a lot of good things, but this is not one of them. Shows a little greed. Just saying…
