A road rage incident in Ocala led to the arrest of a 55-year-old man after he allegedly pointed a gun at an off-duty deputy.
On Friday, March 13, at around 2:25 p.m., an Ocala Police Department officer responded to the Rural King shopping center located at 2999 NW 10th Street in reference to an aggravated assault incident, according to the arrest report.
An off-duty Hernando County Sheriff’s Office deputy informed the officer that he was traveling northbound on NW 27th Avenue when he merged into the outside lane, in front of a Toyota pickup truck. Moments later, another vehicle reportedly “cut the Toyota off” while making “the same maneuver.”…
