Wildwood man jailed after seen allegedly hitting woman over FaceTime

A Wildwood man already on probation was arrested again after allegedly hitting a woman during an argument.

Officers responded to the home of 21-year-old Malik Jordan Jackson on Kilgore Street at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. A witness advised that she saw Jackson hit a woman over FaceTime.

The woman refused to give a statement at first, but she ultimately described the escalation of a verbal argument. Jackson took her phone, and she had been struck “everywhere.” She sustained several marks and bruises on her right arm, dried blood on her ear and redness consistent with recent trauma. She complained of head pain, as well, the report said.

Officers later found Jackson inside a home on Terry Street, which was clearly posted with a “No Trespassing” sign displayed by the WPD. He did not have permission to be on the premises at the time. He was still given multiple chances to tell his side of the story, and he refused to do so, the report said…
