When people move here, they know the rules (or should). One of the reasons people move here is the beauty of The Villages – and that’s due in part to the rules that are in place.
First choice for handling the “alleged” violations: Community Watch does rounds all day and night. When they see a violation (anywhere), they simply fill out a form and turn it in. It’s not personal, it’s fair, and no one specific is being targeted.
Second choice is to keep anonymous complaints. There is no reason to create animosity between neighbors. Complainants should have to be from the same Village, should have to submit their name and address with the complaint (this would eliminate “trolls”), however, their names are not disclosed to the alleged violator. Easy, peasy … keeps the peace, gives respondents the opportunity to correct or defend the complaint and it’s over. Either they are in violation or they are not…
