A drunk driving suspect was found sleeping it off in a car in a restaurant parking lot.
Amy Laura Darby, 41, of Mount Dora, was found at about 8 p.m. Wednesday in her vehicle in the parking lot at Oakwood Smokehouse & Grill on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.
When an officer approached the car, which was parked on the grass, Darby opened a door and the officer immediately detected “the odor of an alcoholic beverage.” The Colorado native admitted she had been drinking and said she had opted to “sleep it off.”…
