Golf cart involved in rollover crash after near miss with car in The Villages

A golf cart carrying four people rolled over after a near miss with a car in The Villages.

The golf cart was southbound on Morse Boulevard at about 4 p.m. Friday when a Chevy Sonic traveling west on Aldama Avenue turned south onto Morse Boulevard, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the golf cart thought the car was encroaching on the golf cart lane and overcorrected, prompting the golf cart to roll over. Of the four people in the golf cart, only the driver injured. The driver suffered a broken arm and was transported by ambulance to UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital…
