A homeowner in The Villages could be fined after a crowded driveway prompted a complaint.

The home of Kenneth and Lauren Harding at 1405 Figueroa St. in the Village of Santiago was the subject of a deed compliance hearing in front of the Community Development District 2 Board of Supervisors at Savannah Center.

A complaint was received by Community Standards on Jan. 28 about three vehicles with expired registrations in the driveway – a Ford Escape with a Florida license plate which expired in October, a Lincoln with a Florida license plate which expired in February 2025 and BMW with a Massachusetts license plate which expired in 2024.

After the deed compliance case was opened, the homeowner successfully updated the registrations for the Ford Escape and the Lincoln. However, the BMW remained in the driveway on Friday with the expired Massachusetts license plate…
