Realtor who refused breath test sentenced in crash after drinking at Brownwood

A realtor who refused to provide a breath sample has been sentenced in connection with her arrest last year in a crash which occurred after she’d been drinking at Brownwood.

Kathleen Patricia Kelly, 32, of Oxford Oaks, pleaded no contest this past week in Sumter County Court to a charge of refusal to submit to a breath sample. She was placed on probation for six months and ordered to perform 20 hours of community service.

Kelly was driving a 2021 Infiniti utility vehicle when she struck the rear-end of another vehicle at about 10 p.m. Oct. 21 in a northbound lane of Powell Road at County Road 466A, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. The Pennsylvania native, who operates the Katy Kelly Group selling local real estate, admitted she had been drinking at Brownwood prior to the crash.
