A larger investigation led to the arrest of an eight-time convicted felon in Central Florida. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit arrested an eight-time convicted felon following an ongoing investigation into the Young Godz gang operating in the Grant Park area in Tampa.
Detectives identified 29-year-old Lavardis Howard as the primary suspect during the investigation. Howard was released from Florida State Prison in October 2025.
