I have to agree with Edwina Allen of the Villages about the closing of the Winn-Dixie Stores.
When I first moved to Ocala in 2013, there were several grocery stores to choose from: Publix, Save-a-Lot, Winn-Dixie, and the Big Walmart. Winn-Dixie and Publix were both outside our main gate. Publix was, and still is, expensive.
I wasn’t crazy about Save-a-Lot and shopping at the big Walmart was too much. I really liked the Winn-Dixie. It had a great selection of items and the pricing was very good…
