Oxford man taken into custody at Taco Bell after meth found in pickup

An Oxford man was taken into custody for drug charges after being pulled over at Taco Bell with meth in his pickup.

A deputy saw 50-year-old Jeremy Scott Morgan driving a grey Dodge pickup truck westbound on State Road 44 at the interchange with Interstate 75 in Wildwood around 12:20 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

While driving behind him, the deputy saw that his vehicle’s tag lights were extremely faint and did not illuminate the license plate at all. He then stopped Morgan at Taco Bell (428 SR 44). A K-9 unit went to the stop to search for narcotics as the deputy acquired Morgan’s license and registration, according to the report…
