A son arrested earlier this year after stolen military explosives were found at a home in The Villages is back in trouble again.

Edward Joynt, 35, who lives with his parents at their home in the Village of Rio Ranchero, was found Tuesday passed out in the back seat of a white Mitsubishi SUV parked at a gas pump at a Sunoco station in Webster, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. There were also two women, both passed out, in the SUV.

A black metal rod was found in Joynt’s pocket and it had trace elements of fentanyl.

Joynt had been booked earlier this year in the New Hanover County Jail in North Carolina in connection with an investigation conducted in coordination with the FBI. Explosives were found Feb. 10 at a home on Yucatan Way, prompting the evacuation of surrounding residences here in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown. The home is owned by Joynt’s parents.
