A Leesburg man was arrested for assault after allegedly threatening his girlfriend with a shotgun during a “heated” argument.
An officer responded to an undisclosed Leesburg residence regarding 21-year-old Cayden Schuyler Ballard threatening his girlfriend of two years and their 1-year-old son with a gun around 6 p.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
Upon arrival, the officer met the girlfriend outside. She advised that she and Ballard had been arguing since that morning and were not talking to each other. Everything was fine until she needed a ride home from the vape store around 4:20 p.m., but he refused to pick her up, the report said.
The complainant came to get her instead, and she did not get home until around 5 p.m. Ballard got home shortly after and refused to talk to her. He then got mad that the oven was still on and began “blowing up” at her, the report said…
