A resident of the Historic Side of The Villages was arrested after allegedly tormenting his neighbors — including a former “lady friend” — by repeatedly driving his golf cart onto their driveways, beeping the horn and shouting profanities.
Richard Paladino, 67, was arrested Tuesday by the Lady Lake Police Department on charges of stalking and disorderly conduct. Officers were called to the 1700 block of Kiley Court shortly before 8 p.m. after receiving multiple complaints about his escalating behavior.
Paladino, a Connecticut native who has multiple tattoos, is accused of terrorizing residents of his neighborhood throughout the day.
According to an arrest report, Paladino heavily targeted a female neighbor with whom he had a six-year romantic relationship that ended in February. The woman told police she awoke shortly after midnight Tuesday to Paladino banging on her front door, demanding she open it while he was shouting obscenities. She called law enforcement twice more that day, reporting that he was screaming at her from outside her home and later driving his golf cart onto her driveway while continuously beeping the horn and yelling profanities.
