A speeding driver landed behind bars after he was caught on radar in The Villages.
A deputy stopped 38-year-old Cartrell Antwon Reed of The Quarters Apartments in Lady Lake in a blue Chevy Impala on Buena Vista Boulevard near the entrance to the Village of Glenbrook around 10:25 p.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Radar confirmed he was going 50 miles per hour in a 35-mph zone, in an area where speeding has been a problem.
