Suspect with marijuana arrested after trying to make quick getaway from Southern Trace Plaza

A suspect with marijuana was arrested after trying to make a quick getaway from a busy shopping plaza in The Villages.

A deputy pulled into the parking lot of Circle K at Southern Trace Plaza in The Villages early Thursday morning when he noticed a grey Toyota minivan with a tag that expired in March, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The driver, 36-year-old Timarion Timothius White of Oxford, quickly left the gas station to head west on Wedgewood Lane.

The deputy caught up to the vehicle as it turned right onto County Road 101, initiating a traffic stop by Northeast 123rd Trail. When asked, White advised that he did not have his driver’s license with him because he left his wallet at home. He looked extremely nervous but provided his name and date of birth, the report said.

Using this information, the deputy determined White’s license had been cancelled indefinitely on June 10, 2025. He claimed not to know about this, saying he had lost his license, and the state of Florida provided him with an ID card. He left this card at home, too, the report said…
