Memorial Day stays mostly dry across Central Florida, but tropical moisture ramps up later this week

ORLANDO, Fla. – After a fairly active stretch of weather recently, Memorial Day is shaping up to be one of the quieter days of the week across Central Florida.

A mix of sun and clouds is expected today, with only isolated to scattered afternoon showers and storms developing inland later today. Rain coverage stays fairly low, around 20 to 30 percent, so most outdoor Memorial Day ceremonies, cookouts, and beach plans should be able to go on without major weather interruptions.

High temperatures will climb into the upper 80s to around 90 degrees, with muggy conditions continuing across the region. A Moderate Heat Risk remains in place, so anyone spending long periods outdoors should stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade when possible…
