Salvation Army breaks ground on Norman renovation and expansion project

NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) — The Salvation Army of Cleveland and McClain Counties broke ground on a new renovation and expansion project in Norman to meet the rising needs of the community.

Phase one includes a $2 million renovation expanding the emergency shelter, adding a new kitchen, and creating a new space for social services.

“This project is not just a building project but a people project,” said Major Paul Ryerson, Central Oklahoma Area Commander. “Every brick, every beam, every square foot represents a renewed commitment to helping our neighbors in their greatest moments of need.”…
