OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Two Oklahoma City boutique owners are facing felony charges regarding more than $3 million in alleged fake merchandise, officials say.
According to the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, 33-year-old Denia Gainza, owner of Mohap Boutique, was indicted on one count of violating the Trademark Anti-Counterfeiting Act. An investigation uncovered more than $1 million in fake luxury items, including the trademarks of Alexander McQueen, Alo, Balenciaga, Burberry, Cartier, Chanel, Christian Dior and Fendi.
Officials say 42-year-old Yude Erlinda Arellanes Perez, owner of Yude’s Boutique and BrayKay Jewlery, was indicted on two counts of violating the Trademark Anti-Counterfeiting Act. A seach warrant led investigators to counterfeit items like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel and Coach. The total manufacturer’s suggested retail price of the items was around $2 million…
