The Oklahoma City Police Department says the incident happened on June 28 after officers tracked down a reported stolen box truck near Southeast 19th Street and South Santa Fe Avenue. Police bodycam footage shows the suspect standing outside the truck as officers gave repeated commands. For a few seconds, it looked like the encounter might end peacefully.
