Red Cross opens cooling centers in Norman after summer storm

NORMAN, Okla. – The American Red Cross announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that a cooling center will be open in Norman, Oklahoma, Sunday, July 5, 1-7 p.m.

The cooling center is at CrossPointe church, located at 2601 24th Avenue, SE.

Thousands of Norman homes lost power over the course of July 4 storms, with recent reports indicating around 15,000 homes and businesses are still without power as of 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon…
