Oklahoma City police investigating after man is hit and killed by driver in southwest metro

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City Police are investigating after a man was hit and killed by a driver who allegedly left the scene of the crash and then came back.

It happened just after midnight Wednesday morning. Police say they got a call that a man had been hit by a driver near Southwest 61st Street and May Avenue. When they arrived they found the man lying in the street.

An officer told News 4 the driver involved left the scene, but then came back to cooperate. Right now authorities say they don’t believe the driver was under the influence or speeding. It’s unclear if he’ll be arrested. Police say there were no witnesses to the actual crash, only people who noticed the aftermath…
