Severe Derecho Storms Leave Homes Damaged, Fires and Flooding Across Oklahoma as Crews Assess Outages and Cleanup

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Authorities in Oklahoma are still sorting through damage after a fast-moving line of severe storms swept across the state overnight.

The system brought high winds, lightning and flooding, and officials said the full scope of losses is still being compiled.

Canadian County Emergency Management said eight to 10 homes were damaged in El Reno, north of Highway 66 and Reformatory Road.

In Tuttle, an apartment complex roof was damaged, affecting 14 to 20 residents.
