Severe Storm Risk Turns Into an Alert Day Across Oklahoma Late Thursday With Damaging Winds, Hail and Tornado Chances

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Forecasters are calling Thursday an alert day as scattered storms build toward a stronger severe weather threat late in the day.

The main concern is an evening line of storms that could bring damaging wind, hail and a few tornadoes.

A level 2 slight risk covers northern and western Oklahoma, including places such as Altus, Clinton, Woodward, Enid, Stillwater, Tulsa and Bartlesville.

A level 1 marginal risk stretches through parts of southwestern Oklahoma, the Oklahoma City metro and into eastern Oklahoma.
