OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – M.T. Berry, Oklahoma City’s first Black police chief and former Assistant City Manager passed away Friday from a battle with brain cancer at 75 years old.
Berry started his career with Oklahoma City on September 1, 1970. Throughout his career, he served in various areas of the Oklahoma City Police Department, including the jail, records office, public information office and the patrol division.
