55 people moved into housing from OKC homeless encampment

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — As state leaders and city leaders continue to clash over efforts to address homelessness in the state, a local organization says it is having a real impact on those in need.

The Key to Home Partnership says it continues its encampment rehousing initiative even after it exceeded its goal of housing 500 people by the end of 2025.

Recently, organizers said an encampment located along Virginia Ave. in Oklahoma City was closed. From that site, 55 people have moved into housing with supportive services, and an additional 20 people are in the housing process…
