NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) – Drivers using Duffy Street will face a weeklong road closure between Jenkins Avenue and S. Jones Avenue, according to the City of Norman.
Starting September 8, city contractors are shutting down the road to replace a 16-inch water line as part of the James Garner Waterline Replacement project.
The underground pipe replacement is intended to prepare the area for the upcoming James Garner Streetscape project. Replacing the water main now will prevent conflicts with future street improvements and lower the risk of water system disruptions along the corridor…
