Oklahoma girl, 11, arrested after shooting her 15-year-old brother dead

An 11-year-old girl in Oklahoma has been taken into custody after allegedly shooting and killing her 15 year old brother, authorities in the Sooner State have confirmed. On Wednesday, September 9, the Edmond Police Department was called to respond to a shooting at a residence in Oklahoma, according to an initial press release.

The shooting took place at a residence on Lapwing Road in Edmond, a community located in the northern section of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Upon arriving at the residence, officers discovered the teenage boy deceased.

Authorities stated “at least one other person was present at the time of the incident,” before confirming an arrest in a subsequent press release.

“Just before 1am on Thursday, September 10, investigators arrested the victim’s 11-year-old sister and transported her to a juvenile detention facility, where she was booked on a charge of second degree murder,” law enforcement said…
