Fatal two-car collision on I-40 Westbound and Anderson Road
At 11:14 p.m. Sat., a vehicle left the roadway and struck the concrete barrier median. Upon returning to the roadway, it was struck by another vehicle. The driver of the first vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger in that vehicle was injured.
No injuries were reported for the second vehicle.
Westbound I-40 was closed for two hours following the crash, reopening at 1:15 a.m. Sun.
