The University of Oklahoma has received a $150 million gift from Harold Hamm, The single largest gift in the university’s history, the donation will be used to promote diabetes research, health education, and research and strengthen the state’s health care workforce.
In recognition of Hamm’s gift, OU’s Health Campus in Oklahoma City will be renamed the Harold Hamm Health Campus at the University of Oklahoma.
Of the $150 million commitment, $50 million will be used to support research at the Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, created with Hamm’s lead gift in 2007. Since its founding, the center has seen its NIH research dollars increase from $5 million to $33 million in annual funding…
