Busted! High tech drug smugglers in semi-submersible with 1,700 lbs of cocaine

CENTRAL PACIFIC OCEAN (KFOR/Storyful) – The Colombian Navy intercepted a nearly 50-foot-long semi-submersible vessel in the Pacific Ocean, bound for Central America, with three crew members and nearly 1,750 pounds of cocaine onboard.

Video at the top of this story shows investigators confiscating and testing the cocaine, disguised in multiple packages.

According to a press release from the Colombian Navy, the cocaine from the January 21 seizure was valued at 27 million dollars.
