OKCPD integrates nearly 750 cameras for public safety program

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The Oklahoma City Police Department is thanking residents for their assistance in registering and integrating security cameras around the city to support their new Connect Oklahoma City public safety program.

According to the Connect Oklahoma City website, the OKCPD has registered 212 locations with security cameras and has live access to 744 cameras in the metro as of Wednesday afternoon.

The Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum has recently partnered with the police department as part of the program, adding another 40 security cameras to the OKCPD database.

Registered security cameras do not allow police live feed access, but allows OKCPD to request access to camera footage if needed.

Integrated security cameras, on the other hand, allow OKCPD to access live feeds. Integrating security cameras requires the purchase of a fususCORE device. There are several fususCORE device options available to accommodate various camera network sizes, with prices ranging from $350 to $7,300.
