On Monday afternoon, former Washington offensive lineman Geirean Hatchett announced that he will transfer to Oklahoma.
Hatchett announced on Thursday that he was entering the transfer portal after four years with the Huskies, playing sparingly throughout this final two seasons.
In 2023, the 6-foot-4, 303-pound guard posted a 59.8 offensive grade from Pro Football Focus, down from his grade of 72.6 in 2022. The redshirt junior played 264 offensive snaps in Kalen DeBoer’s offense this season, earning a 45.5 pass blocking grade and a 62.0 run blocking grade, according to PFF.
The previous year, Hatchett played just 71 snaps, finishing with a 67.0 pass blocking grade and a 70.1 run blocking grade. Most of Hatchett’s playing time at Washington came at right guard, but the veteran briefly saw action at left guard against Texas in the College Football Playoff semifinal.
Hailing from Ferndale, WA, Hatchett was a 4-star recruit coming out of high school, rated the No. 8 guard and No. 207 overall player according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
