Graphic cards left inside children’s books at Edmond shop without permission

EDMOND, Okla. ( KFOR ) – A mystery in an Edmond bookstore: someone is leaving cards with graphic messages about abortion in books, including children’s books. The owner said she didn’t give them permission to leave the cards and doesn’t want it to happen again.

“We saw one with the grim reaper in a children’s book right at the front door,” said Lori Dickinson-Black, the owner of Bluebird Books.

That grim reaper card being placed in a children’s book was caught on the surveillance footage in Bluebird Books .

Moments later, other cards were seen being placed around the shop.

The female-owned bookstore said it’s shocking to see.

“It’s really a violation of our private business and what we choose and what we invest in creating here. It should be a safe space for any of our customers with children or otherwise,” said Dickinson-Black.

A couple of minutes later, the two women go into the children’s section at the back of the store.
