Recent earthquakes have been felt in northeast Canadian County – including Piedmont – but none have caused any damage, a fire official said. After the second significant earthquake in Oklahoma this year, the Oklahoma Corporation Commission on Feb. 3 shut down some Lincoln County oil production activity near the epicenter of a 5.1 magnitude earthquake felt in multiple states.
