‘I’ve got bills to pay,’ says Chase customer after $13.5k deposit goes missing but bank didn’t know where the money was

A WOMAN saw thousands of dollars of her money completely vanish after she deposited the funds with her bank, and had no idea why.

Carla Garling, of Norman, Oklahoma just 20 miles south of Oklahoma City, deposited a check of just under $13,500 into her Chase Bank account in early January.

Garling, who works as a physical therapist with her own private practice, was planning to use the funds to pay some bills as well as her employees, according to local NBC affiliate KFOR-TV.

However, all those plans were put on hold when the money allegedly never appeared in her bank account.

For at least a week, the money was reportedly missing.

“I’m trying to be patient,” Garling told the outlet.

“I’m trying to be kind about it. But I’ve got bills to pay that are going to come out of automatic draft out of my business account.”

After Garling noticed the money hadn’t been processed into her account, she contacted Chase Bank employees.
