In a remarkable feat of academic excellence , 16-year-old Shania Mohammad from Oklahoma City has achieved three college degrees and secured a full-time teaching position, making her the youngest paid teacher in the United States .
Shania, a Black teenager , recently made headlines after landing a job as a third-grade teacher at a local school in her hometown .
Her journey to this groundbreaking achievement began at the age of 14 when she earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood development. Additionally, she obtained two associate degrees from Oklahoma City Community College and Langston University.
Not content with just academic accolades , Shania also completed two years of National Teachers Professional Development Training through the Thurgood Marshall Foundation , further enhancing her teaching skills and expertise.
Her father , Elijah Muhammad, expressed immense pride in his daughter’s accomplishments , highlighting her courage and determination to pursue her dreams despite any obstacles.
