Del City PD uses drone to find missing boy

DEL CITY, Okla. (KFOR) — Video shared by Del City Police on Thursday afternoon shows how officers were able to locate a missing child using their drone’s thermal imaging capabilities.

Police responded to a call about a boy with autism who wandered away from home on February 9 at around 8:46 p.m.

They eventually spotted the boy after deploying a drone to search Ray Trent Park—near I-40 and Sunnylane Road—and an officer on the ground caught up with him.

The child was unharmed and was later returned home.
