Sunday Offering: Oklahoma in Contention for Handful of 2025 Prospects

Brent Venables and company have stayed busy on the recruiting trail over the offseason, continuing to make headway in the 2025 recruiting class.

Recently, the Sooners learned that they were in contention for multiple talented junior prospects who could add to what is already a solid group in the upcoming cycle.

So far, OU has 10 commits in the 2025 class with 4-star offensive lineman Ryan Fodje of Bridgeland (TX) being the most recent addition.

Carl Albert (OK) trio Kevin Sperry , Marcus James and Trynae Washington , Melissa (TX) offensive lineman Owen Hollenbeck , Wagoner (OK) edge rusher Alexander Shieldnight , Douglass (OK) wide receiver Jaden Nickens , Checotah (OK) wideout Elijah Thomas , Ennis (TX) pass catcher Gracen Harris and Lee’s Summit North (MO) defensive lineman Ka’Mori Moore make up the rest of the Sooners’ upcoming group.

On Feb. 11, 4-star wide receiver Travis Smith announced his top eight schools, with Oklahoma, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Mississippi making the cut.
