According to the zoo’s carnivore care team, the cubs are now big enough to navigate and play in the area with their mom, Dunia, safely. However, due to the summer heat the cubs will still have access to their indoor area.

Guest are encouraged to visit the zoo daily from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., if the weather allows, to see Dunia and her cubs in their outdoor habitat.

Since their birth, Dunia and her little cubs have been bonding away from the public eye. Introductions with the cubs and the rest of the lion pride which includes; Hubert also known as “Huey,” Dunia’s sister, Moto, and Dunia’s older cubs, will take place in the next several months.
