A contractor’s lower-than-expected price has allowed Garth Brooks Boulevard to be repaved all the way from Main Street to almost Interstate 40. In February 2023, the City of Yukon was awarded a $921,380 Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) grant for an asphalt overlay project along Garth Brooks Boulevard from Vandament Avenue to Main Street (State Highway 66).
