MOORE, Okla. ( KFOR ) – More details surfaced about a wild scene in a metro neighborhood, after a driver, suspected of being in under the influence, crashed through a fence, narrowly avoiding a home . The car quickly caught on fire.
It was a situation when seconds mattered.

On September 4, at 3 a.m., Moore Police arrived at a home near Broadway and SW 27th.
Officers said the 19-year-old driver gunned the officers into reverse, going through a fence and scratching a home. The driver’s foot was still on the pedal and the engine was running. Smoke and flames poured out from the bottom of the car.
“This car is on fire. I need somebody back here,” said the officer on his radio.
“I have an extinguisher,” somebody at the scene said.
Officers said the driver was still unconscious behind the wheel.
“Someone inside?” asked someone nearby. “Yeah, but I can’t get to him,” said the officer.
Police said family nearby tried to get the 19-year-old out of the car. Another officer rushed in, whipped out her baton and went for the window.
