OKC star Caruso inducted in Texas A&M Hall of Fame

An important new member of the Oklahoma City Thunder had his college basketball career recently immortalized by his beloved alma mater.

Oklahoma City Thunder veteran Alex Caruso was enshrined into the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame last week. He stood as one of the eight former Aggies who got inducted by the university in its 46th annual Burgess Banquet celebration.

Details behind Caruso’s Texas A&M induction

Caruso attended the special ceremony last Friday in which he and ex-volleyball coach Laurie Corbelli, baseball pitcher Ross Stripling, football center Seth McKinney, women’s swimmers Cammile Adams and Breeja Larson, women’s golfer Brenda Goldsmith Hocott, and soccer player Amy Berend Hidalgo headlined their class.

Texas A&M bestows the Hall of Honor for “individuals who have gone above and beyond in contributions and support of the athletic programs” of the university.

“There’s so many faces and different people here tonight that I had not forgotten about but that I only get to see and remember when I come to College Station. I can’t work everybody’s name into this thank you speech. But for all the people that I can’t mention by name, thank you for the support and the endless showers of love,” Alex said in his induction speech for the Aggies.
