A northeast Oklahoma City pizza restaurant announced Tuesday that it will close down at the end of the month.
Eastside Pizza House, owned by local rapper Jabee, will close Sept 30. after two years operating out of its restaurant at 1734 NE 23. In a Facebook post, the restaurant announced it had struggled financially and hopes the brand will continue to live on. The post thanked the community and partnerships for their support.
“Eastside fam and friends, it is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closure of our Eastside Pizza House at the end of September,” the restaurant announced in the post.

Jabee said Tuesday the restaurant never met financial expectations, leading to the restaurant closing.
“It never got to the point where it got enough foot traffic everyday,” Jabee said. “Let’s just say we would sell five pizzas when we should have been selling 25.”
