One in custody after shooting in NE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – It was chaos in a northeast Oklahoma City neighborhood Tuesday morning .

“Somebody help! I just got shot,” said a victim into a neighbor’s doorbell camera. “Can you hear me? Somebody just shot me.”

Oklahoma City Police were called to a house on East Park Place, near NE 8th Street and Lottie Avenue around 4:30 a.m. The victim was frantically banging on neighbors doors, begging for help.

“Please open the door. Please open the door. Please,” said the victim.

According to OKCPD, earlier, the victim was inside a house with several other people when Art Ladd showed up and an argument began.

“Which led to the victim being shot. He had a gunshot wound to his lower leg or his ankle. He fled the house,” said MSgt. Gary Knight, with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

Neighbors called 911. The victim was rushed to a hospital. His injuries are not life threatening.
